Thanksgiving

What are you Thankful for? Comment and let everyone know.

I am so thankful for the opportunities that the Lord has blessed us with here in Putnam. We are building better family relationships. We are working on worthwhile projects that we see progress on like the house, clearing brush, and pruning back trees. We have good jobs (Baird High School & the state school) and good home business opportunities (linked to Brad's Odds N Ends) to make ends meet those months when the repairs and bills seem to add up faster than the regular income. I am thankful for the relaxed lifestyle and atmosphere that we have found here.

I challenge you to find the blessings in your life and share them.

Take care,
Brad

July 12 Thanksgivings. I always feel that it is a blessing when I can get up in the morning, put both feet on the floor, and walk across the room. Then we enjoy a portion of the day catching up on the news from overnight from our local newspaper which is delivered to our door, even though we live 12 miles out of town. I sip hot coffee as I read, and then have my oatmeal to fuel the task of the morning. There is a roof over our head and a cool room to enjoy when its hot outside; today it got up to 99, almost but not quite 3 digits.

In the patio this week, one of the cactus plant bloomed. I didn't know it would bloom, let alone in a tiny blossom ring near to the top of the prickly barrel. The crepe myrtle is in bloom; their bright colors always brightens up the yards.

We talked with our family this morning, trying to learn how to work our new cell phone. We can get it to work more consistently now. We got it to give me a communication line when I am on the road and/or
shopping. That will come easier as we use it. Our family is a
little scattered so it is a blessings to be able to visit and see how the day is going. At the close of the day, we can prepare for worship tomorrow with thanksgiving for the security and peace of this day.

Our greatest blessing is being able to publicly worship God, giving him the glory and praise, for all of our blessings. Thankfully, Erma Jean
